So easy to put together, lift up handle, tighten two bolts, shove stand arms into two holes, swivel. Drop spreaders are best for grass seed and rotating spreaders are best for evergreen complete type fertiliser products.

Don't waste money on handheld spreaders if you have a large lawn - go for one of these. I bought this to replace my old spreader which became gunked up and corroded.

Ideally these spreaders should only be used in perfectly dry conditions and stored in a dry shed - if the rotating mechanism under the hopper gets wet anything you're trying to spread will clog it up and corrode the metal parts. The old one was exactly the same model and lasted about 6 years. Very good spreader it does what it says on the box Overall impressed, we've bought this to grit roads and paths in winter using the grit bin salt

As you can see from the pictures on this review the coverage of the evergreen complete I used on my lawn was spot on as there are no burned patches or anywhere the grass has not greened up. adjuster to adjust for size if seed, grit, salt etc,Throws out over a good area,Handle lever could do with modification, as it just dangles down, hair bobble done the trick!
Therefore I'm very pleased with how the spreader works and would definitely recommend this as opposed to the drop spreaders.
