Thank you 😍 Looks like another project to build an oven will be on the cards for the future! A beautiful recipe book packed with lovely and achievable recipes. Not currently got a wood fired oven as I tend to use Dutch ovens when travelling & camping but many of these ideas will work equally well in the Dutch oven.

I adore this book having recently been bought a wood fired oven I thought it would just be mainly pizza but this book opens up so many possibilities ! There are recipes for the very hot oven right through to something slow cooked over night as the temperature cools. It is a beautifully printed solid book that won't fall to bits in a hurry. I made the no knead dough (perfect and easy) made the white pizza ( delicious) but am now inspired to make some desserts , side dishes or even bread .

I absolutely recommend this book, it is a winner for any one with a wood fired oven. Lovely book, full of all sorts of foody ideas and some really handy tips on ovens, sighting them, fuel and how to light and manage your fire & equipment needed. - or both! I will use this book immediately, guests this week.

This is a great guide from a real food lover who really appreciates the beauty of cooking with fire. The background information is pertinent and easy to read. The potential to move beyond pizza is illuminating - I have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful book. The layout is clear, the fonts are well chosen and I love the pictures, realistic and encouraging.

So you've invested in a pizza oven - a lot of time or money! All the chapters are clear with loads of interesting recipes to make the mouth water. Enjoy reading and tasting the results. - but now time to get fired up.
A must for anyone wanting to learn more. A very comprehensive introduction to cooking with wood and a page of essential equipment , which I love. Her passion shines through - it's full of tips and great recipes. The best part for me is how to use the cooling oven so as not to waste any of the heat, created at some expense, with your wood.
Ideal for the competent cook or the beginner and would also work in a convenient oven but wouldn’t be quite the same!
