It's easy to switch between C and F temperatures - you just press the stand by button for a few seconds. It can store 25 readings and reads temperatures between -22 to +80 C in surface mode and +34 to +42 C in forehead mode. It seems accurate enough and ideal for babies who wriggle around and are too young for a thermometer in the mouth. Bra

First of all they supply batteries! This can also be turned into a surface thermometer to read room temp or holding it near an object it can give live time readings. If you think something is not right, speak to a doctor. This is a really good thermometer.

Overall very happy! Don't see much use for that, but the option is there should you want it. It comes with batteries with auto off to preserve them.
Nothing worse than spending £50 on a product then having to go out and buy batteries so a thumbs up here. As you can see from the picture it's easy to use. It can read C or F (default Centigrade) and all it requires is for it to be placed either on the skin or up to 4cm away.
The instruction booklet is helpful and readings appear accurate. I compared the readings on several tries with another brand thermometer and they gave same results. It's got some nice functions like storing the last 25 readings.
The display lights up just after taking a reading so it can be read in a dark room. There's a LCD for displaying the reading.
