I think it’s the sort of thing that would cause some kind of damage. They are using some heavy duty grey plastic. Excellent product , easy to install and looks very professional

I do note this product is not made in China but in Germany so it being made there and the fact that it’s a very good design is reflected in the price. This mount seems to be made for a tablet that has a tapered shape at its rear.

9” securely in any orientation. I am using it with a very thin windows tablet that is about a quarter of an inch thick and the mount barely reaches over the display. By unscrewing and rotating the mounting bracket, I was able to install it like this.

They also provide an plastic adhesive coated piece that is used to hold your tablet in place. In closing I think this mount is the best I have seen.

If fact you should use the locking mechanism to prevent your tablet from falling off the mount accidentally. I imagine they could of made the the entire piece at the back out of aluminum for simplicity sake but it probably involved additional cost to manufacture. But the adhesive would be used in case you needed to prevent theft. You will need better mounting hardware if you're going to spin it often.

Assembly was easy, it had to be drilled. In my photo is a Galaxy S6 tab, just over 10 inches.
