, etc. Whether these memory sticks are going to be ok with the Ryzen platform I would not know. I have been using this RAM (Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 4000 C16 1. The RAM is not listed on the qualified vendor list for the board, but I thought I would give it a try.

The replaced memory is going into another system. An indulgence perhaps, but one that I can afford due to these dropping memory prices.

Corsairs support has always been excellent when needed and the sticks are guaranteed for life. The PC booted up fine and now I have the full 32GB of memory for my needs. I adjusted the XMP profile to default settings, rebooted and then adjusted the XMP profile once more and KABOOM! ) and the RAM performs well.

I noticed my XMP settings where not effective as ram speed was locked at 2200Mhz. I also got better memory benchmark results when clocked at 3000Mhz than while it ran @ 3200Mhz so I am OK with it. What can I say really, it’s Corsair and they speak for themselves, unbelievable performance and wouldn’t use any but this company or brand Apart from Crucial, which I do enjoy their memory sticks and great support, I tend to have confidence when buying Corsair memory.

Nothing would cooperate. The low height of the memory modules allows the second fan to be fitted to the Noctua cooler as it just clears them. 3200Mhz seemed the sweet spot for price and performance with a Ryzen system, below 3000Mhz seems to hurt Ryzen performance but going above 3200Mhz is quite a jump in price.

From a money and real world performance difference over the 3000mhz ones I doubt that it is worth paying the £50 or so it is when these were bought. As I already had 3200mhz memory I decided to buy the same speed rated sticks.
