I just read it prior to giving it as a gift and I am positive my niece is going to love it. Update: Original book was returned, and new one was sent immediately, and in new condition.

What a lovely book, amazing graphic, printed on a heavy paper, wonderful gift for any folktales lover. Highly recommend! Will be returning for a replacement as it was a gift.

Nice book but corners look like someone dropped it and page's look warped from moisture but everything else looks good Beautiful book with gorgeous illustrations and full of wonderful stories about knights and princesses and giants and trolls and witches and dragons and all the good stuff you would expect from your favorite folk tales. The chapter also tell you which countries the tales are from. Most of these were new to me but they are fun to read and can be enjoyed by all.

Comes with a bookmark in book. Where the rest of the book is well printed, with sharp text, 4/c watercolor illustrations, and applied ivory page tints, the empty pages were stark white -- forgotten page files? Different folklore tales. Excellent book, but was saddened to see the cover had been cut into.
