Great present for a 10 years old. It's not trivial, as there are many parts and steps, but the instructions are extremely useful: they are some of the best instructions that I've ever read. 👍 Recommend The screws are self tappers, but make sure you have a good PH0 or PH1 screwdriver to hand as the screws do take a bit of effort to drive in, but this is a good thing.

It comes as kit that you have to put together. The result is amazing and it's something that you can even exhibit in your home! I bought this as a rainy day project for half term, and day 2 didn't disappoint. For less that £25 it's a bargain.

Might even buy another one for one of the nephews or nieces. This is probably the best toy I've bought in a long time! I'm sure that if you had to buy it pre-built it would cost over £100!

None of the pipes have popped off yet, and no water has leaked. It should take you a few hours or a couple of evenings. There is general advice to remove the plastic burrs from the injection moulded plastic once popped out, but perfection in this is not usually essential, and there are more specific warnings on one or two more critical stages particularly involving gears. The hydraulics are well manufactured and the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

This is an excellent kit. You don't . This is a great item, brought this forMy lad for Christmas and he has been overjoyed with it. Hours of fun.

I'm sure this will not remain the case forever, whereupon we will find out how easy it is to do whatever partial dismantling is required to remedy. Great lockdown time buster. Although the packaging says 10+ it provided a fair challenge to an 11 year old and both parents with engineering backgrounds. The gripper mode is particularly good and the most visually appealing.

Note: You need some patience but does come together with 90 page clear to follow instructions. 5 stars. I don't know what the lasting appeal of the completed kit will be, but it's proving more than a five minute wonder, and was undeniably a lot of challenging fun for us to build as a family. It does take some humanpower to build though!
