I do a lot of close-up field work so I have tried a number of small field cameras, including prior versions of the Olympus Tough. New internal filters have been added to reduce chromatic aberration and the purple orb issues.

Mine didn't come with one, and it definitely needs one if you are going to stick it in your pocket or use it in the field. (It is, of course, designed for underwater photography but I'm not into that. I am not a professional photographer but I use my camera professionally, and this is the first pocket camera that really did what I needed Even given its limitations, I strongly recommend the Olympus Tough TG-6. I bought this for photos.

LOG file, without timestamps, and the locations appear to be very inaccurate. Those concerns quickly got crushed! It should also do well in the colder conditions. My upcoming trip with this in tow will really ring it through its ropes and then and only then, will I truly now how it handles hard stress!

White balance tends to be good especially in indoor/macro/uw settings. The camera works great with or without them.

At times the produced jpgs are too saturated or undersaturated. There were a few things in the written reviews that concerned me a bit initially. The second is an outdoor shot on a cloudy day. Purple Orb:All TG cameras (and many non-Olympus cameras) occasionally show a small purple orb in the middle of the image.
