My little one loves Disney Cars, and I was happy that most of the die cast cars will fit down the ramp. There are a LOT of them and some are very small.

But not a deal-breaker, because if your kid is like mine, he plays with it everyday and won’t want to put it away. Both matchbox and hot wheels work fine. There is a very good diagram for placement though.

I will definitely be buying Hot Wheels tracks for Christmas. Opinions on whether I should have bothered with the labels was split with my husband and daughter (child’s mother) saying he’s too young to care, and me and my eldest daughter (Aunty) saying,”Hell yeah, you need the labels. Also, I’m a woman, just to be clear that assembling a toy with a lot of pieces isn’t the sole purview of a male relative (😉 *see husband’s reaction to the applying the labels). Looked at dozens of garages, and this one was the best!

I watched all of Spielberg’s War of the Worlds and half of Constantine before I was done. How did he like it? Just like in an actual parking garage. He played for it for nearly an hour, very intently.

Oh yes, and he loved the tow truck it came with. He zeroed in on just the things that would have captured my imagination; the elevator and the car wash. This toy was a slightly belated “new big brother” present.

I only got confused at the very beginning with the labels for the elevator levels. I do wish it had a flat base to add another level and be nicer on carpet. I wind up peeling them off and using the parking lot labels that corresponded to the elevator ones. Awesome toy, only downside is that it’s big enough that it’s difficult to find a place to store it away.
