The screen is also decent, I do not feel the need to connect to a larger monitor. I don't think I would have made it happen without the extra 70 x zoom.

Get this, and when you're ready to upgrade away from the stand, mount this thing onto a mic arm and get a microscope ring light to go with it. You can probably 3D print/mill/whatever a ring mount that secures it to the mic arm the same way as the old stand as well. First: the screen and microscope are great. Still, after a bunch of SMD soldering I was pretty happy with the experience and the lack of eyestrain.

But I wish I could raise the camera higher off the platform so as to get a wider view, and it would also be nice to be able to tilt the camera to the side. Definitely would recommend the pro stand for stability.

I believe you'll be very happy for the price versus functionality. Unfortunately there are no mounting holes; I chose to 3D print a mount and 5 min epoxy it to the back. Check my photos, the first job I put this through was straightening bent cpu pins from an eBay motherboard that my friend bought. I'll be honest I was concerned whether or not the extra 70 x zoom would be necessary compared to the other models.

It's not unusable per se, but it definitely gets in the way and doesn't work very well at all, and even if it did, it doesn't allow the microscope/screen assembly to raise high enough for less-micro work. The media could not be loaded. If there were at least some sort of mounting holes on the back, I would've given this 5 stars.

I bought this mostly for SMD soldering. Though not as good as stereo optical microscopes (for depth perception), this definitely does the job at the price range.

The image quality is super sharp (that's a deer tick there, except for its head which, well, came off in the process). It's way more useful and usable this way.
