If I have a criticism it would be the foot pedal, it is completely useless! I am a hobby potter, throwing about 20 pots a month, so its a wait and see for the longevity of the appliance. I don’t use the foot peddle, I use the hand switch, and because your hands are quite mucky it can be a little difficult to control but that’s perhaps more about me than the equipment, I do feel though a lever rather than a small turn switch would be a better design for controlling speed.

I found that when assembling the plastic drip tray it was fiddly and I thought it would leak - but it doesnt. The foot control is ok - I am still learning to apply the correct pressure, I do not use the dial to control the speed. I also don’t use the wheels or the bottom panel on the tingby, instead I only use the legs directly on the floor and I use the bottom panel of the tingby for setting my pieces on to dry! This isn’t a toy like the £150 wheels you see on amazon, it’s a functional and flexible piece of pottery equipment that is great for learning on.

Its made everything from mugs to massive moon jars. This wheel is a fantastic piece of kit, as a newcomer to pottery it fits my needs entirely! I’ve been able to make a number of pots and vases with this wheel (some more lob sided than others! Update.
