Unpainted flat metal surfaces, handle and vice jaws were wrapped in film covered in clear grease. Note that Record vices are no longer manufactured from high quality Sheffield steel in the UK.

3 vice is the same in their UK and EU catalogues, though we observed the EU catalogue quotes different prices in UK sterling, not Euros. ) surface finish on the non-threaded portion of the lead screw. Amazon originally quoted weight was under 6kg. This particular Record no.
Although regular WD-40 or grease is as good, it tends to attract dust. Photos attached after removing from shipping box - no attempt to clean it. The centres should be located 65-70mm from the edge of the workbench.
The third bolt hole hidden by the sliding jaw is a further approximately 72mm away, and is limited to 13mm size bolt max imho. .
