I've never had any problems with trying to unlock my PC, the range seems to be around an arm's length and a half, and the mic is fine, definitely useable. Got this mainly for the face login for windows 11 and on the latest build it works amazing and setup was insanely easy you just plug it in and then go to search and type in "sign in options" and go in and go through the simple setup.

As someone who owns a Kaysuda Windows Hello-enabled webcam, this thing is much better. And another edit - after a windows update the camera quality GREATLY improved - see a sample shot - not to shabby If you are expecting studio pro quality from this camera for streaming or podcasts you wont get it but if you need one for login (insanely fast login) and a simple 1080p resolution camera with great quality and a great mic for gaming as well then pic this one up and you'll be happy.

I wish the camera quality was a little better, but I use it for Hello sign ins and Zoom/MS Teams calls so it is definitely fit for purpose. The one downside, and why the 4 star is that in the Kaysuda, the IR camera is separate from the normal camera, whereas with this camera it's combined, which means that if you're using a cover for the camera, you need to uncover it every time you unlock.
