I loved to read, growing up, but I always hated to "damage" a book, to let its pages get smushed in my bag or whatever, so sometime in adulthood I just sort of stopped. Size is perfect, it's lightweight and easy to hold (much easier than carrying several books around with you on holiday!

I don’t have kids but got this kids Paperwhite for myself in one of Amazons deals, which are worth waiting for as they offer really good discounts. There are some limitations of the screen technology (the "flicker" as it refreshes between pages etc) that at first I thought were going to annoy me, especially for the price, but actually having spent the day reading on it.
