I have a USB powered DJ controller with RCA cables either connected to the line-in of my PC or connected to my powered speakers. This £10 ground loop isolator device connected between the RCA out and the line in or speakers completely eliminated the whine with no detriment to the sound quality. No matter the configuration I was blighted by a high pitched whine.

Fixed the loud buzz my speakers had. And to think I nearly spend £60 on a USB GLI. Hooked it up to a Logitech Bluetooth receiver and it sounds super clean now. The input device didn’t generate any buzz, it was directly from the speakers so I wasn’t sure if this would work but I tried anyway.
