For the price, you are getting a very fast lens that feels really well built. Above all, it can really open up the world of easy, hand-held, low-light photography to anyone, even on a low budget. It provides fantastic background blur, soft and smooth bokeh, and great colour vibrance (leaning towards greens).

Does it make it possible to do hand-held night-time photography? As long as you know what you're getting into - this is a wonderful piece of kit and well worth the money! Very good lens for low light shooting, image quality is good wide open at f 0.

This is important to note for people looking for a landscape lens or something sharp across the entire frame. Buy this lens if you enjoy the process of manually focusing your camera and you do not mind slowing down or having your subject stay a bit still. I've found this lens very useful, and it has become one of my go-to lenses that I take out very often. I have it on my xt3 and I have had no motivation to take it off.

The build quality of the lens is great, it's quite heavy for its size and the housing is completely metal, so it feels very solid. Price is bit high on amazon, and you dont get the leather case as shown in many youtube reviews, still good enough lens for price. For best results, you will definitely need to do a bit of post-processing with images from this lens - sharpening them up, denoising them for even more smoothness, and tweaking the colours to remove the lense's bias towards green definitely helps.
