Pros:- Parts are pre-cut, so my son was able to detach them on his own- Most parts are made of thick card-board, so my 4 year old could handle them and put them without damaging them- Instructions are clear- We got it mostly for the train building part, but the book was also interesting readCons:- A few pieces are made of thick paper instead of cardboard, those were harder to put together, even for us adults. It does require some patience from the child, but it wasn't the first time my child did this type of activity. My son is 4 year old, and was able to build most of the train (with an adult on his side, telling him where each part goes).
This will require supervision from an adult if given to a younger child, but it is a great activity for a train lover.
