On the same computer with a USB3 adaptor, I got 174MB/s almost double the speed. What's even more impressive is that it has faster read and writes, meaning that if I decide to upgrade to 8K video gear in the future, this same SD card will still meet my needs. ) but in a fast USB 3. You might get even better performance with more up-to-date hardware.

I should point out this is the performance on a thirteen year old Windows 7 PC. It's a top choice for high-quality, high-capacity storage, and it's ready for whatever tech upgrades come my way. I have had experience of a range of Micro-SD cards from different manufacturers, but the ones made by Sandisk stand out for reliability and accurate specifications.

I only use SanDisk an for the for the extra money these extreme Pro cards Are the right choice for anybody recording 4K from drones or cameras Because of the fast write speeds, that's the thing to look for. Fits perfectly into my drone and easy to transfer data. See the picture to find out which card reader I used This should provide performance close to a very fast HDD but the size of a little fingernail, and that will be plenty fast enough as it's going to be used as a 1080p network streaming media centre with all media stored remotely.

I'm not a benchmark expert, I just find a disk speed tester app and tried it with 2 situations. I have bought previously. It's extremely fast, amazing price, and just make sure you have a good card reader to keep your data safe. These really are the premium accepted brand for all photography and video ography and vloggers out there.

So keep in mind if you feel like SD is not fast, it may be because of your reader/adaptor or the device. They are not the maximum or minimum measurements, just at the time I measured them. On Mac's port, I got around 90MB/s.

I'll give this one a big thumbs-up for now. Test with different options. The capacity I chose is far larger than I need, but this will hopefully help the drive's longevity, not that I've had a single Sandisk microSD card fail in donkey's years of Pi-ing.
