To have a feel for the force required it would be wise to try it first on a bolt or a socket in a vice before using it on an expensive mechanical part. 5% - for example if you set the torque to 40 Nm, the tool would click when you apply a torque of 37. In using a torque wrench of this type you would need to be careful as it is very easy to over torque a bolt or even snap it, because the ‘click’ is sometimes barely audible when there is background noise and also there is no slippage mechanism when the torque is reached.

Purchased for routine motorcycle maintenance (excluding wheels and important fastenings). In poor visibility, the ladder cannot be seen very well. The specifications define a tolerance of +/- 4% so the key meets expectations. I have calibrated this wrench up to 45 Nm and the error is contained around 2-3%.

Finally, it has an ideal clamping range (7-105Nm). I took it in addition to another torque wrench that has a larger range (40-200Nm).
