It really doesn't match up at all! There is no barrel distortion or pin cushion. 6x crop factor, this is the equivalent of an 80-85mm lens.

Autofocus is sometimes a little off, but even then the daytime shots are still coming out beautiful. TL; DR; SUPERBHowever if we want to elaborate a little, there's the obvious - like great, sturdy construction, perfectly balanced focusing ring, fast, quite and - above all else - reliable focusing and the sharpness that this lens is admired and known for. Pin sharp and half the price of the Zeiss equivalent. For film purposes, the large size of the lens with the huge focal ring is an advantage if you are doing continuous manual focus.

It is quiet, although, if you are using it for professional use, you should be using a wireless lavalier and boom combo. 4 you will get narrow DoF even with much wider lenses.

Not doing weddings, so no need to carry 8 crappy lenses. So even if you are a glamour or portaiture photog, I would not be too quick to dismiss it.

I would like to focus on a different aspect, that seems to divide the audience - the bokeh. It is well built, good looking and gives better than expected results. I also like the deeper, richer colors the polarizer seems to give. For short films, I don't know, I would say it depends on how short staffed and short on time we are.
