etc used for making home made washing powder at a fraction of the cost of normal washing store bought powder. cant get real borax as easily as the old days but this is a great substitute. Crystals grow, they are fragile and small (despite highly saturating the solution through boiling the water)

I was interested in making DIY crystals not to clean with the product. and without the chemicals that could irritate sensitive skin. Since Borax is banned in the uk I used this. It seems to work.
