The wiring tends to overheat, so we don't trust them. I sleep light, so I was cautious when some reviews said there are cracking sound due to heat expansion, I can tell you this thing is super quite, not an issue here. We live in a 100 year old building that is very drafty and this Winter has been a challenge in keeping comfortably warm.

You will also hear a crack sound from the heater, I think the plastic layer of this heater is not able to resist too much heat in the long period of time. Didn't need the heater on but wanted to test the accuracy of thermostat. I've been running my heater on high 24/7 for the last couple of days and have not had any issues with odor or unusual sounds.

It heats up my office beautifully but once I turn it off, it's still giving off heat. Honestly I didn’t expect that this heater works well because of the previous reviews. My room still warm (500-600 sq feet) even I slightly open the window for the air circulation. So I would recommend that you should keep the temperature of the heater around 81-82c at night.

We already have 3 of these units with a standard wire and plug. Gotta give it to Amazon’s return process, my main reason to shop on Amazon. Boy am I a happy customer now!

I've owned a Trillion (seems like it) Radiant heaters over the last 20 years and I've learned that a properly assembled heater will run very quiet but keep in mind that ALL Radiant type heaters will slightly pop/crackle during cold start but should go away once fully warmed up. The media could not be loaded.

Of course we do hear the thermostat clicking on/off but only barely. It will heated up a small room without hearing fan plowing like other heaters. Takes about 30 minutes to take my room from 60 degrees in the morning to 75 and also holds heat really well.

Surprisingly, it heats up my room so fast and keeps my room in a steady temperature. Regardless, this heater is excellent as it distributes the heat far better than a fan-based space heater. Which is the reason we made this purchase X2. This thing is great!
