I read it in one day. This book cover a difficult subject but it is a very good way of learning. This book should be on every curriculum at every school I believe. The telling is as of a child to his peer.

My godson loved this book and said it made him feel sadness, and happiness and gave an understanding. There are footnotes to explain difficult concepts and words. Suitable for children aged 11+ and adults alike. This is a TRUE story of two brothers; Fritz and Kurt.

Although the descriptions are perhaps not as graphic as the adult version, the carefully researched facts are not dumbed down and the horror is laid bare. Informative and emotional, but ever so important that this history is told! The book judges things very well. Wow!

This book is absolutely perfect for bringing that awful part of history to their attention. Very heart wrenching, but it’s easy to read very easy to follow grabbed your attention from the first chapter all the way through to the end very pleasedReally like the little touch of photographs graphics, really add to the story and keep our teenagers attention which was really good even courage me to read it after him brilliant very pleased I got this to read with my 10 year old daughter. It is all just unbelievable that this actually happened and it should never be forgotten.

A difficult tale to tell, I was concerned that it would be sanitised for children. It is based on a true story and follows two young brothers as they go through the horrors of WW2. Great book cover attractive and it’s quite an inspiring story. I have got this book to keep for my grandsons who, at the age of 7, once asked me who Hitler was.
