The atmospheric cover has an almost 3D effect and is enhanced by shiny gold colouring around the names of the author & illustrator that catches in the change of light. Absolutely love this book, however. Can't wait to read these to him at story time!

A cunning little mouse is the key character as he persuades some potential predators he meets on his travels that there is a ‘Gruffalo’ in the deep dark wood. And, of course, the ending is 'good'! Simply open the cover and the rhyming story begins. A Gruffalo!

It is also great as a first read. As usual, the seemingly simple illustrations give lots to talk about, including facial expressions! Wonderful addition to her growing bookshelf.

Oh no! Brilliant hard copy of the gruffalo - great size for taking out and about. My son is really into the gruffalo at the moment so I got him the go ok boards for his birthday as they are more sturdy than the paper back for my toddler.

Condition was supposed to be "new" but authors name misprinted on front cover - so knocked off 1 star Inside are 12 double page spreads (including the inside covers), with no loss at the front or back to title pages, etc.
