Barnsey

* Probably a great gift/present though for a patient gardener. *I am hoping to find a simple way to put the thing up in future.

I have written all this because it is a really lovely thing, but needs quite a few tweaks to make it really useful. I thought it would save me a lot of fiddling with bamboos; this was not the case at all. I expect it to last many years, and will be easy to store.

It is well made but may need a wind break to protect it on exposed sites, or other additional supports. Probably easiest I think with 20 cable ties. I am glad I bought this, it does look grand and is well made.

Like a lot of bamboo structures you may need to think about exposed sites with a lot of wind. I think the price should reflect that too; £50 would be more like it!

A few things then to note:* the clips that come with it dont fit the cross beams as they are too thick. I got round this by using other additional (8) smaller stakes to hold the 4 hoops firmly* I am using this in a sheltered garden spot where it is fine. This meant buying more clips; which again are not so good to use as the hoops and cross beans are different widths. * When it came it states it is a PEA frame.

Because when you sink the hoops 1ft into the ground (which come in 2 parts and together are 6ft long); then of course it is only 5ft tall.
