The culprit was a high humidity. I highly recommend it for use in a car that sits an extended period of time. 9/8/2023-After charging the unit inside humidity is at 35%. 1/18/2021 - Received email and call from Alexandria at Eva-Dry the next working day.

I started to notice a difference after a week. I'll probably buy 2 more - one for a closet in the corner of the basement and another for a very deep shoe closet. No idea if it still works or not. (At least in the bathroom.

I appreciate the information and excellent customer service and changed my rating back to 5 stars. *certain chemicals can also cause discoloration to the indicator beads, this again is not a cause for concern, if the unit heats up when plugged in, the clear beads inside are still working to absorb moisture, simply renew them every 2-4 weeks for 18 hours.

Supposed to come with a 5-yr warranty, but website says it has to be registered within 30 days, which is a load of crap since I have proof of purchase from Amazon, so they can see I bought it and when it was purchased. My 21 year old car sits alot and has a leak around the sunroof, so the water gets in and it's hot and humid, and next thing I know I've got green fur growing on my seats.

I have my fingers crossed that they do what I want them too. I left it alone for a couple of weeks and then checked on it. Was unable to charge it there because the adapter I bought didn't really accommodate the pull out plug, but it functioned well for most of the trip.

IT KEEPS IT IN THE ACCEPTABLE RANGE. You should be good to go and back in business. Slight reduction in humidity. Came across this and gave it a try.

Also, I brought it when I went oversees & it was perfect for keeping luggage less moist. The problem is the heating element.
