I've included a picture of the small shift key so that you can see the difference in the amount of more LED light that the ABS keys let through. They are made from hard wearing plastic, and the coating isn't prone to getting greasy.

Has not worn out yet after 5 months of use. But I digress, the keycaps bring it to a new level, it looks like I have a new keyboard now, well worth the money. Must buy in my opinion. I use this on my Logitech G512 and it made it incredible.

Great keycaps, very bright. Corsair has finally adopted the standard keyboard layout on the K100 so they look great on the Corsair K100 and you have the option to use the whole keycap set where as on previous Corsair keyboards you could only use these keycaps on select of keys. . Either way, I'm still happy with them!

What I did was use PPT keys for the function, QWERTY keys and right side of the keyboard keys and used a combination of ABS and PPT keys for everything else. Fantastic product, it's a shame the spacebar has the HyperX logo on it, would prefer they just used the standard line logo.
