Easy to operate. And it is exactly what I hoped it would be. The only thing I regret is not buying the 8 inch for an extra hundred bucks. After putting it together, I had it outside and the finder scope sighted in in less than 5 minutes.

The images were blurry and unfocused, partially due to the telescope mirror arriving scratched. Does well for planet imaging, however I recommend a barlow lense for planets.

This is my first telescope and I was on the moon and took the photos attached my first night with it. (having a power drill is handy)!

The focal length is goid for both observing and imaging while the focal ratio of 1200/254= F4. So far so good, still getting it aligned etc and learning how to use it with my 10 year old, it's his first telescope.
