It plays nice but I expected that the truck would go faster. But the latest Monster Trucks seemed fun with their animal decoration and pull back functionality so I bought the Megalodon and El Torro Loco.

The actual car is good fun too although we have only built the shark so far and not the low down racer. Both the builds are unique in their own way A fun truck rated for 7+ years.

Pull back mechanism allows you to propel the car under its own steam and could pair up with another vehicle in this set. It has a really smooth action and you get a good amount of forward thrust from a relatively small pull back, it makes me wish that all pull back cars worked this well! There is no steering or suspension on this car and the only technical bit is contained within the box so if you are looking for lots of cogs and gears you may have to look at one of the bigger more expensive sets, but for £18 its a great little car which has some good playability and is robust enough to do some jumps down the stairs without disintegrating, happy to recommend!

I'm surpised how sturdy this truck is. Brilliant value Lego, bought some other sets which were a lot more expensive but this one is great value. He also thinks that the names (Megalodon and El Torro Loco) are funny and keeps repaeting them and asking what other trucks there are and if there are other animal trucks.
