Hopefully as much as this book. Tragically Jordan died before he finished the books and the last three (or four) were written by his chosen successor Brandon Sanderson (who I had never heard of).

There were times when I stopped reading this and just held the book in my hand and marvelled at the master of the craft that is Robert Jordan. “You cannot escape so easily, Dragon. So, as a little bit more information about the first book, we start in a little village where we meet our characters Rand, Mat, Perrin, Egwene, and Nynaeve who are from the village, and Moiraine and Lan, who are outsiders. I know from listening to many videos and podcasts surrounding this world that Robert Jordan has created that he meant for this first book to be heavily inspired by Lord of the Rings, and while reading that you can clearly see the influences. Any other Jordan fans out there?

She paid for the book. The world is, clearly, expansive and rich with its history and culture and from the remote villages to the bustling cities, everything had a character that defined the place, the people and the lives. I've begun reading the second book in this epic story; The Great Hunt and I think Eye of the World was that good I will read all of the other books in the series (15 of them I think) then probably consume the TV shows and enjoy them.
