This is my second CS pan and I don't want to even pretend to know what I am doing when it comes to seasoning, I followed the advice from Cook Culture on this one and seasoned in the oven at 410 with grapeseed oil , no need to go above smoke point, and apparently there may be some science and advantages to this. Again, this will fully smoke out your home. I did this outside on a high btu camp stove I have. Wipe with a wet soft sponge or kitchen towel to get all the salt and potato peels out, then apply a very, very thin layer of oil (I use crisco shortening) to keep everything nice and greased.

Handle is a typical restaurant handle, oven safe, but doesn’t offer heat protection. Each to their own of this , but I think it worked very good. You just can’t see it until you actually start to scrape it off.
