Both this and the 10400 go for such good prices nowadays that you’d just be a fool to go AMD for a budget build until they finally realise the 5100/5300. Pros:1) Price/value;2) low 65w TDP meant I didn't have to upgrade the power supply;3) Decent desk top performance;Cons:1) Only 4 Cores (still adequate for normal desk top use);2) The 10100f doesn't have built-in graphics. Used this for a cheap upgrade for the family PC which sees light gaming, web browsing and school use (MS office).

For a sub-£100, even sub-£70 sometimes CPU, the performance is absolutely insane. Wow!

Not only does this perform as well as the unobtainable 3100/3300X, it punches well above its weight in gaming to reach even the 3600. Just be aware of this requirement before purchasing.
