However, I don't remember Biggles having a family and girlfriend, I don't remember him talking about how he felt about his friends dying or about fear. Absolutely brilliant book

Anyone reading this book will find themselves in the cockpit of a Spitfire over London or Kent during WWII chasing and shooting down German aircraft. One of the best books I've ever read from Battle of Britain.

and fighting for your life being shot at by German fighters and bomber aircraft! Without question one of the finest books I have ever read (and vicariously) enjoyed flying a Spitfire and training as a WWII pilot. It is informative, I learnt a lot about the Spitfire and the Battle of Britain from it. At first it reminded me of the Biggles books I read and enjoyed as a lad.
This is an excellent book. I simple could not put this book down! It is not just about the aircraft, it is about the people who piloted them too. .
So this book scores over Biggles on those issues.
