The pedals are wide and have a velcro strap to keep your foot in place, I wear slippers to use mine as the pedals have ridges on them and bare feet would be uncomfortable. After 5 minutes I started feeling the effects and I ended up dropping down to around level 5. You can place one leg of your chair in the so called wheelchair stopper, but you will have to lift the leg in and out of the stopper. The machine came with a battery and it took 2 minutes to put the pedals on and be ready to use.

The bottom of the machine is not completely flush to the floor so the minute I get any good momentum it comes off. It was too late to return to Amazon for a refund. I'm 67 and got this unit to keep the blood flowing in my lower extremities.

If you want there is an app to log your workouts. I am using 0 resistance for 4 minutes twice a day and after a week can feel a difference.

I just ordered the wheel stoppers and exercise mat from the actual site so hopefully that works better. ).
