I’d never have thought it was possible that I could care so deeply for the robots and machines, but Rocky, Nurse Ratched, Hap and human Vic stole my heart. If you're after an emotional adventure story set in a dystopian robot future, I'd recommend this. Victor and his dad are part of something much bigger than themselves and it was perfectly developed over the timeline to show us how important this story is. Some of my favourite moments were when the robots were trying to explain Vic’s human needs and body functions (‘evacuating his bowels’) to confused android Hap much to Vic’s frustration!

There were so many highlights and laugh out loud moments with Nurse Ratched; I loved her demented banter. It was an interesting take on a fantasised future if robots were to take over. Crying is a given with TJK novels, this was no exception. The trials and tribulations along the way were full of excitement and emotion and I was engrossed until the last page.
Read, Read, No Sleep, Repeat
This fabulous and thought provoking new fantasy/sci-fi standalone novel asks us to look at the world around us and who we want to be in it. A ragtag bunch of "misfits" who must band together, against all odds, to seek a mystical city.

T. The story is full of great banter and laugh out loud moments. When Vic finds and fixes a damaged, decommissioned android called Hap, he inadvertently sparks a disastrous chain of events.
