It comes with an AAA battery and a spare ear tip. I was sceptical as to whether this would work as the person I bought it for is profoundly deaf. I'm intending to carry it with me so that when I visit I have it to hand if needed.

I've put mine in a plastic business card box so I can carry it around in my bag (and the unit, the manual, a spare battery, the earphone cable and spare tip all fit nicely inside that). Great product.

Otherwise the product is great and really easy to use Also as it's small school have aloud this. I got it as a temporary solution for the times when hearing aids get lost and it's hopeless trying to hold a conversation!
However, I was pleasantly surprised that the recipient could hear with it, and so finally I think we have a solution to the constant hearing aid loss sagas, and best of all it fits anyone, so if you have two elderly family members who always lose their hearing aids this is a very helpful temporary solution! As the pictures show, it's quite small, and I've included the instructions that come with it. When it arrived I noticed the instructions said it was for "mild, moderate hearing losses" so was a bit worried it might not work. 5mm guys, can we change the photo cause its a little misleading.
You do sometimes get squealy feedback off it (maybe due to touching the microphone bit which picks up the sound? She can hear her teachers, and hear more now. This is a jem for my daughter she has auditory processing difficulties and she needed something small for school this has worked a dream for her. 5mm headjack as shown on the photos, its 2.
) but all in all I think this is going to be a lifesaver for us for temporary use! I haven't used it extensively, so this review is only based on a few minutes of testing to see if a very deaf person could hear me.
