It's a great introduction to the hobby, and it's nice that the figures are compatible with the standard game set. All in all, it took about a month and a half to get the entire set painted. This boxed set was my first foray into Warhammer 40k, and it has been great fun.
I had never painted miniatures before, and this was a fantastic learning experience. The simplified ruleset (lacking in Dark Vengeance) is much better for new players such as ourselves. Be aware that the figures come unassembled on plastic sprues.
