It’s not only a great read, it’s absolutely hilarious & you will be laughing out loud (I know you might think surely not, but I promise I was laughing more than I can recall) if Ellie writes anything else I’ll be the first to buy! I laughed and wept in equal measures. Ellie is a wonderful comedian as she is warm, relatable and honest - this translates perfectly in her writing and I can’t recommend this glorious book highly enough.

I’ve never read such an honest account of the pressures to have a child, child birth and the days that follow. As a Mum of a baby who was in the HDU for the first 10 days, I found it particularly moving, and I felt heard. The tone is friendly, and at most times hilarious, but there a points that are so honest and raw. I will be recommending it to all my friends who happen to be parents!
