boom arm

Basically, the arm just slots in to the base and sits there. Key points:-quality construction all screws and parts look and feel good to uses, and I expect them to last.

-have given me more space on my tableCons:-instructions on adjusting is lacking; I tried to loosen the screws around to know its functions (I am complete beginner using a boom arm)-the arm needs a weight resistance to fully adjust as when I was using it without any microphone, it was going higher. I was concerned about the Rode arm at first because I couldn't find any pictures of the actual clamp. I took the gamble and sure enough that clamp is there and the desk option is a quality metal thing to insert into a drilled desk.

I have read reviews and reddit anecdotes on the base as it has given some folks struggle. and having used this for near a week now, I have used it a fair bit (several hours per day)its fun to use, probably in part because its new and in part how much freedom of movement you have, I have also left it in a specifc spot every night to see if it lowers at all (It has a sn7b, a Se DM1 and a Shure A26X extention tube) and thus far it hasn't lowered at all, so its certainly very stable.

It had some minor imperfections but it doesn't matter to me, I was more focused on its purpose and use. I have had no problems with this and it seems like this is the way the arm is supposed to be attached to the base. However, unless you receive a faulty unit there's not much to complain about here.

If you know anything about RODE sound equipment then you know their stuff is quality and this mic arm is no exception. So I thought I would have to use the grommet to install. However, I managed to use the clamp although it does not sit flush under the desk.

I just assumed that the cone shaped thing was screwed into the desk and so I didn't consider this arm because of that. This is the first mic mount I have ever used.

I bought this while thinking I didn't really have a spot for it, but it fits snugly on the corner of my deskthis was an impulse buy to replace my old Mic stand which took up a bunch of space and was restrictive compared to this. Having Bought a few cheap arms you might be thinking how much better can these boom arms be?
