I find the paints a bit strange to use, a different consistency from acrylics and watercolours, but they got easier to use the more `I read them. I usually use watercolor but wants to learn how to use gouache.

The brushes that come with the set are good too. Colours are very vibrant and dry quickly on paper. When they arrived there was oil on top of most of them so make sure to give them a good shake before using. I found if you want solid colour you are best to mix a small amount of water with them, otherwise they are too dry and drag.

Would make a good present for someone who is maybe starting out. For the price, it is an absolute bargain for the amount of colours and transition shades it provides inside each individual tub.
