Inserted mobile vodaphone nano sim card and off it went. I already owned, or bought especially, SIMs to cover the four major UK networks - Three, O2, Vodafone and EE - and tested the router with all four. It’s exactly what I needed the parental control features work a treat you can set a schedule for the on-off feature which is cool, power saving as I’m not using the Wi-Fi when I’m sleeping. This allows access to our printers, home NAS, Blu-ray player, TVs and Humax YouView box.

Honestly a game changer. Xbox, Switch. For my, I have my network running using Ubiquiti Wifi hotspots and a series of switches. Dual bandwidth helps connect all devices in our home without issue.

This is with an EE sim. If you require a 4G+ router that allows manual LTE band selection for aggregation, there aren't many available choices. I should repeat though that these results are specific to our location, and will vary by time of day and demand. Another reason for getting this particular router is the capability of setting LTE bands manually.

In terms of speeds, if I put the router near the window, I managed 72mbit down/30 mbit up, which was faster than my fttc broadband (prior to my ftpp full fibre upgrade)! By manually setting the LTE bands (we use 40, 40), this problem was eliminated and we are rather chuffed. That can help in keeping things running smoothly. 4 gig.

- assuming you can live with the 20-50ms ping times! g. We live in towards the bottom of a hill in a bit of a dip so mobile reception can be a bit of a problem. 4 gig and 5 gig frequency bands, the latter being much better for flats and houses located close together as it is shorter range while at the same time offering much higher bandwidth than 2.

It's incredibly convenient, especially when I need to prioritize devices or troubleshoot any issues on the go. Have had max download speeds of 150Mbps so far.

Ethernet cable also has categories and we also now have WiFi 6, although not specifically a category. In conclusion, the TP-Link AC1200 4G+ is an outstanding router that has exceeded my expectations in every way. Had no issues whatsover with the product and highly highly recommend it to all. I have about 60 devices and this router copied no problem.
