I've had my eye on POLPO since reading a chef's review some years ago. You want those kinds of books to lay flat on your counter.
This is more than a cookbook, it looks as interesting as ‘Jerusalem’, I am sure it’s a good buy. Almost want to buy a 2nd one to use while cooking so I don't get this one dirty. ". It's a knock-down beauty.
First, the book's construction and print quality are over the top. Cookbooks will not typically lay flat when they are opened. Second, the recipes are spectacular and home cooking friendly.
It's been on my wishlist ever since. You get a 'rush! It's in the tradition of the finest bookbinder's craft. It's a work of art!
