This was an excellent book; a ‘must read’ for all who live in this country in order to gain a better understanding of the true First Americans, the Native Americans. I haven’t read the book yet.

By the way, why is the front cover a half inch narrower than the width of the book? History came alive as I relived the battles while hiking along the canyon and visiting the highly acclaimed Panhandle-Plains Museum in Canyon, Texas.

The media could not be loaded. Cover was cut too short.

Great book. One of my favorite books this year and an interesting account of an often forgotten person. However, needs a different title. Seems well put together.

Quanah Parker is an interesting, complex historical figure whose journey from feared Comanche warrior to respected politician is very well presented here. I read the novel just before my trip to Palo Duro Canyon State Park near Canyon, Texas. I saw a Facebook post about him which sparked my curiosity and made me want to learn more. I’m afraid I’m going to destroy this thing in my backpack lol

Looking forward to reading this book. Although the front cover isn’t wide enough to cover the pages.
