! The former pupil was Liz, the author of Chinook Crew Chick, and this is her story from joining the RAF, through training and operations in Iraq and Afghanistan to her problems and battles with injury, PTSD and loss of friends and colleagues. 2 to the school for a visit.

A wonderfully written story which really brings to life how challenging being in the Chinook force can be. You will not regret purchasing this book I promise you. Such an insight into the life and service of a truly incredible woman. What an inspirational story of courage to share her vulnerability which is testament to her strength!

All too often those that have served on the frontline and return suffer from imposter syndrome. I’ve read this book three times now and enjoyed each adventure. The book is beautiful written and flows in an easy reading way, although the subjects themselves are not always easy reading.
