This Bosch is an excellent shredder which makes short work of shrub prunings and small branches. I'm really happy with it so far and would recommend it. I personally wouldn't bother purchasing the Bosch collection bag since a cheap plastic garden trug, available from garden centres etc is perfect for collecting the shredded material. My only very slight criticism would be that the exit chute at the bottom of the machine is only around 12 inches from the floor and so limits the size of box or bag collecting the clippings and you need to keep in mind to regularly keep it clear.

I didn't want to rate this five stars yet as I have only had it for a few days but I have been very impressed so far. I purchased this to replace an old ALKO shredder which finally packed up after 22 years of service. I was a bit unsure about how good this product (or any other shredder) would actually be after reading reviews online but its been absolutely brilliant so far.

The powerful motor keeps the revs up even when larger branches are fed into it so if the material to be shredded fits through the mouth, this machine will shred it efficiently. Saved ourselves a lot of trips to the tip! A great buy, and well worth it.
