This doesn't concern me too much as 10 minutes with a sewing machine will put that right when needed. It's on a ledge so it doesn't get covered. It's very warm, but it will form pills after being used for a long time.

Setting two is 50w so double the cost. I put it at the bottom of the bed which is better, but if I have my feet too low down in the bed and a little to the left I touch it, which is slightly annoying. I’ve not had an electric blanket before, so have nothing to compare it with; I’m pleased, but the plastic disc is in a really annoying place, as it’s right where I prop myself up on my elbow to turn on/off light, reach for my water etc.

Anyway, it's nice and warm. I'll use the medium heat to get it warmed up faster and then have low heat.
