I’ve now started Sox the bi-polar cat on this medication in the hope that I can stop warning my guests to give him a wide berth or risk a trip to the walk in (not kidding, this actually happened). This stuff caught my eye as it also claims to reduce anxiety. I open the capsules, and mix the powder with the paste, as that's strongly flavoured and he likes it.

My vet (PDSA) only recommended special food they sell (dry, with loads of grains, although they said wet was better! Within 1 day me sweetie seems back to normal phew and I did not see any discoloration as much in his urine, great stuff. Based on the reviews and people saying vets had recommended these (or Cystophan), I thought I'd try them. I was looking at Protexin Cystophan, but these were a better price for 30 (less so now), and have exactly the same ingredients in the same quantities. Buying them off of Amazon is much cheaper and allows me to sort her bladder issues at home without a costly vet visit. These have been a life saver literally, after my boys blocked bladder they have give him a new lease of life, he will be on these long term.
