This is part travelogue, part memoir really. Oops!

Sam Heughan has just finished filming 'Outlander' and looking forward in going home to relax for a week, after a few busy months. Managed to get through the whole review without mentioning how gorgeous he is….

It's the day after Sam came home and Sam heads to the store for everything he will need to do Scotland's rugged 96-mile West Highland Way, and after a bit of help he has everything he needs to set off the next day, he only had 6 days to do the walk and be back home. Sam talks about other topics in the book as well, meeting his dad to body image. A couple of tiny criticisms – the text is a bit too small and there are no photos, although the little illustrations are lovely. During his journey he managed to explore some historical sites, Rob Roy's Cave to Steall Waterfall (the second highest in Scotland), the landscape and descriptions make it easy to picture it.

He talks about his childhood, how his mum brought up him and his older brother. He again writes with honesty throughout and a real warmth.

But overall, it’s a really interesting book written with a lot of heart. (Phew! It wasn't going to be easy as it was Scotland and winter 2021, but it was going to be something that will stick with him for along time. Buy anything by him
