Having had a Gaggia Classic for several years I have toyed with the idea of getting a grinder but the cost has put me off with some burr grinders costing more than my Gaggia itself. Great amount of control-get some cheaper beans in so that you can experiment the get the best combination of settings. It was the grinder. Very simple to program based on how you like your coffee grind depending on the system you use.

I appreciate there are price differences here. Highly recommended and aesthetically very nice too! For now, I recommend a mini scale (also a tenner).

The icing on the cake is that it goes well with the style of my De'Longi coffee machine. If you don't want a heap of coffee which will fly everywhere as soon as you try to tamp it, you simply need a portafilter dosing funnel (around a tenner). It is LEAGUES ahead of my old Krups burr grinder.

While it grinds I shake the Porta filter so that the entire coffe will fit in. Easy to clean, keeps coffee dry and well preserved in the top unit. It will grind it in 13 seconds.

Simple to assemble. So perhaps it was no surprise my first cup of coffee resulting from the grind produced by this machine was so nice. Had this for few months now and I have to say, it made my life easier and tastier. In my case, the initial default grind size was too small and the grind time too long for my De'Longi Dedica coffee machine, but I get just the results I want now for the double shot porta filter using an 8-second grind and 18 for the grind size.
