I read the reviews and found out this has the Faulconer scores which is what I grew up watching (Just have to change the audio). For audio, I liked the '96 TV version best. It is a gorgeous collectible set, and I am happy that this beloved show from my childhood still garners enough interest from fans worldwide even to this day to receive a new release. It's all over the subtitles though.

The nine individual cases for each season, as well as the discs within, are exactly the same for this box set as the previous release. There's no episode guide, they don't always close securely, and they have those nasty plastic disc holders that tear discs up. It is also Blue-ray. I am a dedicated, lifelong fan of Dragon Ball Z, so I was pretty ecstatic to see that Amazon would be releasing another brand new, exclusive, complete Blu-ray box set for the show.

The menu system is intuitive, and this series works perfectly with my remote. It was much funnier, had snappier pacing, better voices, and way better music. I can see all the individual character in the hand-drawn lines.

If you're buying from the UK have absolutely no worries the discs WILL play! The clarity is amazing.

Unfortunately crunchyroll doesn't have the Bruce Faulconer scores. The DVD version I used for comparison was letterbox ratio, so maybe that's an option with that set. Was so impressed with this boxset I turned to Ebay and picked up DBSuper bluray which is also awesome. Found this boxset randomly on amazon, always been a fan of DBZ.

Presentation is good but delivery packaging was not the best as others have pointed out corner of box takes tiny bit of damage but no enough to warrenty a return. I already mentioned my opinion of Kai's English audio, but if you want Japanese voices, that would be a better bet. There is literally no change other than the exterior case.

It does take very little room on my shelf; the box is 5. The transfer is good especially if you have a tv with AI upscaling and colour correction, nearly looks like a modern anime. Better yet, use the marathon mode (genius!
